CupTake stores your projects, scripts, video clips, recording settings, and related metadata locally on your device.

CupTake does not upload your videos, audio, scripts, project names, or clips to our servers. CupTake does not require an account.

If you export a clip, CupTake may save that clip to your device's photo library or media library, depending on the permission you grant.

CupTake may ask for the following permissions:

• Camera: used to record video.
• Microphone: used to record audio with your videos.
• Photo Library or Media Library: used when you choose to export clips to your camera roll or media library.
• Device storage: used to save projects, clips, and app data locally on your device.

You can manage these permissions in your device settings.

CupTake may use PostHog analytics to understand how the app is used and improve the product.

Analytics may include anonymous usage events such as onboarding started or completed, project created, recording started or finished, take kept or discarded, teleprompter used, sentence mode used, and export started or completed.

These analytics events may include technical or usage details such as recording mode, video quality preference, clip duration, sentence count, whether a script exists, available storage amount, app screen name, and general device/app information.

CupTake does not send your video files, audio content, scripts, project names, or clip contents to PostHog.

CupTake does not use analytics for advertising, and we do not sell your data.

CupTake may use PostHog to process analytics data on our behalf. PostHog receives only the analytics information described above.

We do not sell personal data. We do not share your videos, scripts, projects, or clips with third parties.

We may disclose limited information if required by law or necessary to protect the security and integrity of CupTake.

Local app data stays on your device until you delete projects or clips, uninstall the app, or delete app data through your device settings.

Analytics data may be retained in our analytics account for as long as reasonably needed to understand and improve the app.

CupTake is not directed to children under 13.

CupTake is designed to keep your recordings and scripts local to your device. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we aim to collect as little data as possible and avoid uploading sensitive creative content.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above.
